Straighten Others' Crowns

Straighten Others’ Crowns

Have you ever run into a person whose smile and attitude radiates an infectious light? Someone you just want to spend the rest of your time around in the hopes that their way of life hopefully rubs off on you so that you can be that infectious light to other people? Someone who genuinely cares about others and will stop at nothing to make others feel welcomed and loved?

I have a person like that in my life, and I’m grateful enough to have her in my family. She is someone who loves unconditionally, gives her whole heart to everyone who comes into her graces, and has this aura around her radiating and pulsating with love and compassion. With everyone she meets, she has this smile and laugh that reaches into the deepest part of your soul and fills you with joy no matter what circumstances you may be facing. When she speaks, she speaks with kindness, compassion and understanding. She is the person who straightens my crown and brushes off my shoulders when I’ve taken a mighty hit.

I can only pray that everyone has someone that they have encountered that radiates this kind of joy. Whether you have or have not met this person, it’s never too late to become this person for other people whether that be at work with your coworkers or at home with you family. Be that person that gives their whole heart to others. Be that person that sparks joy and raises others up. Be that person that offers a smile to every passing individual. Be that person who loves unconditionally. Be that person that will straighten others’ crowns, brush off their shoulders, and look them in the eye and say, “try again.” Be generous with your words of kindness, your smile that fills a room, and your grateful heart.

“Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart.”
